Wren Saunders Wren Saunders, bassoon, holds a B.M. in performance from the University of Southern Maine and a M.M. in performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. She is a member of the Maine Chamber Ensemble, Indian Hill Symphony, the Portland Chamber Orchestra, and the Bangor Symphony. An active freelancer, and chamber musician throughout New England she is a founding musician of the Mela Ensemble and has played with such orchestras as the Portland Symphony, PORT orchestra, Boston Philharmonic, Rhode Island Philharmonic, BMOP, New Hampshire Music Festival, and ProArte among others. Ms. Saunders has a very active and successful bassoon studio where her students are regularly accepted into the Maine All-State and District festivals, the prestigious Portland Youth Ensembles as well as New England Conservatory's Youth Philharmonic Orchestra in Boston.
